Music Sites can Donate old or lost developments to this open source project for archiving and permanent development on the web!MusiciansFund.com is being established to help further the Musicgroups
Network and cooperative offerings and establish portable community tools
for musicians worldwide. Musicgroups is building a method for managing
and deploying these different open source packages. Our first goal and
module application is a login sysytem that will allow our users to remain
logged in and travel amount the network sites, (over 140 currently). Musicgroups
is open sourcing parts of this module to allow music sites open access
to our open source services.

an OPEN SOURCE music network!Musiciansfund part of the musicgroups network, is being set up to become a non profit that goal is developing technologies for use by individuals, not just the technological elite. In the ten years we've developing for the musicgroups project, we have seen many 20- 30 million dollar sites just vaporize, as well allot of the developers we worked with, they seem to have a tendency to run out budgets and disappear, even with the code unfinished. At this point most companies go out of business or spend out tons of cash to resolve the issues. We've pluged away slowly and maintained the bottom line.We realized very quickly the the Musicgroups systems must be modular and automated to work correctly, while building a site is not a big issue building portable modular technologies is not so easy! Over the last ten years we have achieved a number of our goals while maintaining the bottom line. What you see working today, is nowhere near what we are working to build!The Musicians fund site is being set up to share the open source modules being developed for the network model, and allow developers an oppertunity to contribute to the world wide open source projects we support. As is we are also contributing back to these projects, and building a platform for them as well as our own requirements. This is a progressive project, and will only grow with support and contributions. All funds raised by this project, will be disbursed to the open source modules and their respective developments. Any remaining funds will be used to buy instruments and music hardware for inner city schools.Our goals::
